Business Is About Family Values Says Jason Hughes

Jason Hughes, originally from Northern California, lives and works in San Diego. He is well known in the San Diego community for his ability to negotiate tenant contracts, restructure loans and find better purchase terms for commercial spaces.

Jason Hughes has worked since the age of 12. He cooked, washed windows and did just about any odd job he could find. One day he shadowed a buyer representation agent and was impressed with the work.

It was here that he saw the opportunity to help other people make better negotiations. Why is his work so well recognized? Well, as Jason Hughes likes to say there is really no division between the lifeline of work and pleasure. Authenticity and oneness are required in both areas, Jason Hughes points out, which is probably why his family is as much a part of the Hughes Marino company as he is. Hughes Marino currently has 33 employees, and each of them is treated as a brother or sister.

Jason Hughes doesn’t believe in the corporate hierarchy, instead, he believes there should be mutual respect and a common interest in business values. The principal idea of his company is printed on paperwork and in the office to remind all of the Hughes Marino family what is important. The mission statement is, “Embrace the family spirit and take care of each other, of the client and the community.” Brands like Qualcomm, The California Bank and Trust, the Mission Federal Credit Union and others work with Hughes Marino and appreciate the ethics Jason Hughes brings to the table.
